Steves' Campervan Conversion

Steve and Kim continue their story

Ready to roll.

An overhead shelf has been installed at the rear to put clothes at night and bedding during the day.
The area under the bed will be utilized by having plastic storage tubs with lids that can be packed with food or clothing or whatever else may be required for a trip.
These tubs can be stacked on the front seat or stored in an annex or a small tent when stopped for the night or when camped for an extended period.

The cupboard at the front has been secured and the stove is fitted to the top, the 12 volt car fridge is installed inside the cupboard so that it won’t move around but can still be taken out to transfer to another vehicle if required.
A coat of paint on the cupboard is yet to be done and maybe a sink fitted but there are advantages to being able to wash utensils and cook outside the vehicle so it may be altered to allow for use both inside and out.

Ed note.  Steve and Kim advise me that due to a promotion and relocation, they are selling the van (current 18Sep04)  Lyn and I would like to thank them for their effort and the articles you have enjoyed.

The Project will continue... by a new proud owner

Stay tuned for progress reports in the near future.

Regards,
Steve
